Artvin Çoruh University Psychological Counseling and Guidance Application and Research Center held a “Panel on Combating Violence Against Women” on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. The opening speech of the program organized at the Nihat Gökyiğit Congress and Culture Center of our University was made by Prof. Dr. Murat Kibar, Vice Rector of our University. Psychological Counseling and Guidance Application and Research Center Director Dr. Lecturer. In the panel moderated by Asst. Prof. İlknur Yeniçeri, information was given on the following topics:
“Legal Aspects of Combating Violence Against Women”- Attorney Ayla Varan (President of Artvin Bar Association)
“Gender Equality” -  Asst. Prof. Seda Ertürk (Artvin Çoruh University / Faculty of Education / Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling)
“The Importance of Educational Environments in Combating Violence against Women” - Devrim Özbayrak (Director of Artvin Provincial Directorate of National Education Guidance and Research Center) 
“Social Service Practices in Combating Violence against Women” - Gamze Özay (Director of Violence Prevention and Monitoring Center of Artvin Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services) 
In the program, which was attended by the staff, students and citizens of our university, the guest speakers were presented a certificate of appreciation and a gift by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Kibar.
